Is it important to use the correct adhesive?

Yes, you must use the correct adhesive. If in doubt get in touch with us here.

Do I really need spacers?

It is important to use spacers on both wall and floor tiles. This ensures that you have the correct spacing to allow for the movement of your home without the tiles cracking.

When should I remove the spacers?

You don’t remove the spacers, you simply grout over them.

What is the best tool to choose?

It is vital that you use a good quality cutter with a blade-guide and built-in snapper.

How do I cut L-shapes?

You should begin by scoring the edges of your shape with a normal cutter, but don’t snap them. Nibble out between the score lines with the nippers. Alternatively, you can purchase an electric tile cutter.

How do I make a pipe hole?

We supply hole cutting attachments for electric drills which will give you a perfect smooth hole in the correct position. If you need to tile around an existing pipe, then you will have to split the tile in half around the centre of the hole you have created and then place each half back around the pipe.

Is the right grout important?

Yes, you will need a special grout for each situation.

How long should I leave my tiles before grouting?

We suggest that you apply the grout any time after 24hrs.

How do I put the grout on?

Use a tiling rubber squeegee to apply a small amount each time. Clean off any excess immediately to ensure a professional finish.

How should the finished surface look?

The grout should be smooth and in line with the top surface of the tiles.
