Choosing to use tiles in your kitchen for a splashback, or to cover an entire surface such as a kitchen floor or wall will make your life easier. Kitchens are one of the most high-traffic, heavily used rooms in your home – frequently exposed to dust, dirt and accidental spills. Porcelain tiles are low maintenance, and any dirt on the surface can be wiped away with ease. We also recommend using an optional sealant, to reduce and assist with ingrained dirt on the tile surface. Adding tiles to this space will enable spills and mess to quickly be wiped away, leaving you more time to enjoy the space.
The kitchen is far more than just a functional room – it’s the heart of the home. Whether it’s cooking dinner, helping the kids with their homework or catching up with friends, there’s no doubt that the kitchen is a vital part of your daily life. That’s why it’s understandable that you want it to reflect your personal style and make a real statement.
Tiles are the ideal answer to your decorating needs. Not only do they look great, but they’re also a hardwearing and practical budget-friendly solution. Kitchen splashback tiles as the name suggests stop and prevent unwanted splashback, stopping water, grease and food stains from soaking into your walls. Kitchen floor tiles are easy to mop, and kitchen wall tiles can be easily wiped down in no time for a sparkling finish. Want to know more? There are lots of things to consider when it comes to choosing the right tiles for your kitchen. What colour will be best suited to your space? What style of tile will work best? Are you looking to achieve a sleek modern finish, or perhaps something more traditional and cosy?
Wood effect tiles are an excellent alternative to genuine timber and are easier to clean and longer-lasting. Large-format tiles can help to create the impression of more space, with fewer distracting grout lines (which also means less cleaning). Marble effect tiles create a feeling of luxury, whilst natural stone tiles give off a homely feel (as well as conducting heat with super efficiency keeping your feet warm!). Combining highly contrasting colours like black tiles and white tiles can create a dramatic and intriguing effect.

Once you’ve decided on your preferred tile material you can focus on choosing a finish. We stock tiles in the following finishes:
Although ceramic tiles are not quite as strong and durable as porcelain tiles, they are an excellent and very affordable alternative. Don’t be fooled though, under ‘normal conditions’ ceramic tiles can last for years, and they are still non-absorbent and easy to clean. Also, the simplicity of the printing process for ceramic tiles means that there are often more choices of colour, pattern and style – so you’ll have the opportunity to really put your mark on your kitchen.
Glazed porcelain tiles have a variety of advantages that make them ideal for use in the kitchen. They’re excellent for areas that experience significant temperature swings since they have a very constant design and non-porous quality. They’re also long-lasting (in some cases up to 50 years!) and are simple to maintain and clean.
